How Frederic managed to stay on his feet after that incident? Online, some speculate that Trouba was attempting to retrieve his stick from Frederic and that the hit wasn't deliberate. I'm skeptical about it. Surprisingly, no penalty was called during the play, even though the referee was in close proximity to the players.
Regardless of intent, a penalty should have been given. Personally, I believe this action deserves at least a fine, and possibly a hearing. The Rangers secured a 7-4 victory in this game.
