Brandon Carlo, a defenseman for the Boston Bruins, marked his 500th NHL game during Thursday night's match against the San Jose Sharks at TD Garden.
Following his milestone, Carlo netted his inaugural goal of the season in his 501st game, aiding Boston's triumph over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
Thus far in his career, the defenseman has accumulated 25 goals and 67 assists.
Jim Montgomery, the head coach, lauded Brandon Carlo's outstanding performance this season, extending his praise beyond just Carlo's scoring prowess.
"He's one of the players we know what we're gonna get out of effort-wise, execution-wise, shutting plays and killing plays defensively."
The Bruins are scheduled to face off against the Sabres for their second game of the season in Boston on Thursday night. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET at TD Garden with the puck drop.
