The Bruins faced the absence of Bergeron, Marchand, and Lindholm due to persistent injuries, but subsequent updates about the trio could be worrisome.

Head coach Jim Montgomery mentioned that Bergeron was struggling with an illness, which initially didn't seem severe. Regrettably, later updates about the veteran suggested that the captain's condition deteriorated during Saturday's match.

Is There Cause for Concern?

Montgomery also emphasized that despite their "nagging injuries," it's worrisome to hear him state that all three players were nearly unable to continue playing.

'We don't want to get to the point where they couldn't play and it's getting close to that point... because of those nagging injuries they're playing through some pain right now, and we don't want them to progressively get worse.''

On the second half of a back-to-back it was the right decision to sit all three players.

Let's hope those injuries aren't too serious. We won't likely know more until the Bruins are back in action on Tuesday, as a day off tomorrow is expected.
