The major caveat that was potentially putting a halt onto Linus Ullmark heading over to the Ottawa Senators has been finalized as reportedly there has been an extension and deal made.
Ever since the rumors started about Linus Ullmark, it was is just a matter of time until he was no longer a Boston Bruin.
It is already known that Ullmark has decided to waive his no-trade clause if a deal were to be made with the Senators.
David cites two sources in reporting that Ullmark would accept a trade to the Senators even if they're on his no-trade list.
Going by the reports, the Bruins are open to a sign-and-trade, if not, with Ullmark's actions by waiving his NTC, he is mostly likely willing to sign an extension with Ottawa if he is to get dealt.
Word is that Linus Ullmark would be looking for a 5 year, $35 million extension with Ottawa. Talks are ongoing.
The reported return for the former Vezina Award Winner is 26-year-old defensemen Jakob Chychrun and a 1st-round pick in 2025.
To give a way so much for a bonified #1 goalie makes a lot of sense for the Senators as they have been lacking in that department as of late. A goalie like Linus could drastically improve the team as a whole and potentially get them to the playoffs next season.
For now, it is just a waiting game until he is shipped off somwhere.
