Although the Boston Bruins are tied for top spot 60 games into the season, there are definitely some problems that need to be addressed.

The Bruins can potentially focus on improving their defense. For the past three deadlines, a blue liner has joined the team. This season, the Bruins seem to need another defender more than previous years. Mike Reilly in 2021, and Hampus Lindholm and Josh Brown in 2022. The most recent addition last year was Dmitry Orlov.

After Lucic and his legal troubles, the Bruins' fourth line have began to lack identity. In the absence of Lucic, the team has to look out for a player who can match his qualities that are sorely missed. Physicality and muscle are important attributes that come to mind to fill the gap that was left by Lucic.

After the retirement of both Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, both Charlie Coyle and Pavel Zacha are taking the lead with great stats. As Coyle ranks 29th and Zacha ranks 56th among center scoring, they continue to show promise. These players have an uphill battle to fill in the Krejci and Bergeron's shoes, but the potential is definitely there.
