The once very highly touted goalie prospect, Michael DiPietro has not had the easiest career so far, but it seems at 25-years-old he finally has found his stride. He has quietly; become a shining prospect once again, but this time for the Boston Bruins.
In 30 appearances for the Providence Bruins of the AHL, DiPietro posted a .918 SV percentage and a 2.51 goals against average. He most likely will be sharing the net with new signee Brandon Bussi, as they both will be fighting for the backup job with the Big Club.
If his season starts of strong, don't be surprised if he makes a big push to force the hand of the Bruins' management to call him up this season.
