Today for the anniversary 9/11 and the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Boston Bruins have released a statement to honor and remember the lives that were lost on that horrific day.

The Boston Bruins rookie camp started today and the roster was just announced, but every year, on this day, we hold a moment of silence and honor those who passed away on September 11th, 2001.

We never forget 🇺🇸

The NHL, just like everyone in the world were impacted by this tragic day. When the season commenced in 2001, New York Rangers captain Mark Messier wore an iconic FDNY fire helmet at Madison Square Garden to pay homage to the firefighters and first responders who gave up their lives to help those in distress.
