GM Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins are eyeing to sign veteran forward, Blake Wheeler to bolster their bottom-6, but does the 38-year-old still have enough left in the tank?
Right now, Wheeler is with out a contract, he spent last season with the New York Rangers and there has been no developments if he will being re-signing in the Big Apple.
Which contender will sign veteran Blake Wheeler for a Stanley Cup run?
With the Rangers last year, his point production had a significant fall off. He was coming off a 55 point season with the Jets in 2022-2023 but it was not the same narrative in New York.
In 54 games, he scored only 21 points with 9 goals and 12 assists. But if the Bruins could get him for league minimum, would he be a good physical and veteran presence for their bottom-6 forwards?
