The Boston Bruins made a sad announcement today after long time Bruins Reporter, Mike Loftus passed away.
They announced the news on social media that Mike Loftus passed away after a long battle with cancer.
The Boston Bruins are saddened to learn of the passing of longtime Patriot Ledger beat writer Mike Loftus. We offer our thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
For over 30 years years, Loftus was a big part in covering the Boston Bruins. he began writing on Boston Sports in 1989, and ended up announcing his retirement on December 2nd, in 2020.
Mike Loftus was 65.
