The Bruins now move in to the top position to land free agent Steven Stamkos after embarrassing offer from the Lightning.
Tampa offered Stamkos a disrespectful $3 million AAV for 8 years despite still having a great production rate and being a huge part of their franchise for 10+ years.
Now that the Lightning are out of the way, it looks like the Bruins are the front runners to land the former Bolts captain.
With #GoBolts captain Steven Stamkos headed to free agency on Monday, I'm told by an NHL source here at the #NHLDraft that the #NHLBruins will 'definitely be in on him'

Despite being 34 years old, the Bruins have a ton of cap space and if they could land Stamkos at a great price he would be great for Boston.
