Most fans and insiders believed that the Bruins would have a rough season as they lost many key players from last year's historic season. The players included Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Dmitry Orlov.

Even with many key pieces gone, the Bruins were able to have a great season so far all while dealing with multiple injuries. The B's currently have the most points in the NHL with 97 and a 41-15-15 record to go with it.

Elliotte Friedman reported on his podcast that many teams around the league hold a high level of respect for the Bruins, as no one expected them to have such a great season.

"Other teams really respect that Boston's leading the east (although Florida has two games in hand). To do that after losing their top two centers hasn't gone unnoticed." -Friedman

Even though many respect for what the Bruins have done this season, there is still a lot of doubt in how they will do in the playoffs after last season's mishap. The Bruins have a lot to prove in the post-season.
