The team has struggled all season which led to them firing their Head Coach, DJ Smith, in December, Jacques Martin has been behind the bench ever since.
It seems though GM Steve Staios has been looking for the Senators next Head Coach and has his eye on Bruins Assistant Coach and former player, Chris Kelly.
Kelly played for the Senators and Bruins during his playing career as well as being an assistant in Boston for the last 3 season. He has spent 2 of those 3 season with Jim Montgomery and his first season with Bruce Cassidy. Clearly Kelly has learned from some great coaches between those two.
Kelly is not only a great coach but also knows what it takes to win as a player, being a crucial player on the Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup champion team.
