Bruins forward Matt Poitras showed some serious skill last season in the NHL as a 19 year old averaging.5 points per game.

Poitras' season was cut short due to a shoulder injury as his game was picking up but as he gets ready for his second NHL season, the Bruins have high expectations for him. The Bruins believe Poitras could put a minimum of 40 points next season for them if he is able to stay healthy.

Poitras was hovering around .50 PPG as a 19-year-old rookie in the NHL with a partially bum shoulder. Depending on his role, linemates and usage I could see him being a 40-point+ forward next season. Health and the rookie wall will have an impact, but he's got «it.» #NHLBruins

With the numbers he put up in his rookies season, 40 points seem extremely attainable for Poitras and fans should not be surprised if he surpasses that.
