Both men were dynamic tandem and gave many teams including the Toronto Maple Leafs nightmares in the playoffs with their style of play and relentless attack. It all began in 2008 when Bergeron played with Marchand and within a few short years they won the Stanley Cup in 2011 and went to the finals twice more in 2013 and 2019.

Even at the age of 35, many including Bergeron feels that Marchand has plenty of hockey left and be a menace to many as the Bruins look to secure their playoff spot and go on a long run to win the Stanley Cup with Marchand as Captain.
