Although the Boston Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 6-5 yesterday night, the "roller coaster" of a game led him to divulge some interesting opinions considering the close call they faced during the third period.

The Bruins were fighting for the win consistently throughout first and second period. During the early game, the Flyers seemed to be unmotivated as the Bruins continued to outplay them. Come third period, the game ramped up in excitement as a total of 7 goals were scored. Although the Bruins opened the period up with 3 goals in 3 minutes, Boston kept allowing the Flyers to catch up, as the game ended with the Bruins claiming victory 6-5.

Charlie Coyle on the third period: "It was kind of a roller coaster, start off great, extend the lead, feeling good about our game...our game dipped a little bit there...we can't afford to play like that and have that mindset. It's up to us to correct."

Bruins player Charlie Coyle believed that his team dropped the ball on certain aspects of their performance which allowed the Flyers the slightest chance to grab the win from under their feet.

"We can't afford to play like that and have that mindset." Coyle said, as he described the third period as a "roller coaster".

Head coach Jim Montgomery had this to say in alignment with Coyle's thoughts; "We've got to learn you have to close out games, you can't just think it's over. The other teams are desperate."
