Bruins prospect Fabian Lysell has a ton of pressure heading into the 2024-25 season as he will likely be replacing Jake DeBrusk on the second line.
Lysell has been extremely impressive in the AHL putting up almost a point per game in Providence this season but has yet to receive a all up after two years in the AHL.
Lysell, 21, just had an excellent season with the Providence Bruins in 2023-24, posting 15 goals and 50 points in 56 games. This was after he posted a 37-point campaign during his first year in Providence, so he took a step forward in his development. But will it be enough for him to get on the Bruins' NHL roster? Time will tell.
While Lysell is a great player, the AHL and NHL game are very different and often times players scoring abilities do not translate well.
Hopefully for the Bruins Lysell is able to step into DeBrusk's shoes quickly since they did not sign any new wingers this summer to take that second line spot.
