The Bruins drafted 6'3 defenseman Jackson Edwards in the 7th round of the 2022 draft. Edwards is currently playing in the OHL for the London Knights.
The Bruins prospect has already been suspended 3 times this season and is now facing a fourth suspension. On Saturday, Edwards took a questionable hit and decided to take matters into his own hands by attacking the opposing player.
Bruins prospect Jackson Edward, No. 92 in green, is assessed yet another misconduct in the OHL after taking this hit from Misaljevic, getting back up, dropping the gloves and just teeing off on him with punches. Would be surprised if he's not disciplined (again). #NHLBruins FYI the misconduct came after this hit when Edward lost his mind on the officials. There's not really much footage of that, but this hit is what set it all in motion.
Edwards was stopped before he can do any real damage to his opponent but this infuriated him causing him to snap on the referees as well. Being as this is his fourth offence of the season, he is likely to have a lengthy suspension.
