Just before the deadline, Don Sweeney acquired defenseman Andrew Peeke from the Blue Jackets, he was traded for a 3rd round pick and Jakub Zboril.
Peeke stated he was ecstatic to become a Bruin, going from the last place team in the Eastern Conference to a Stanley Cup contender was an exciting change of scenery.
«I'm pumped. Especially coming into an organization like this. I've only heard good things all the way to the top. That's what's most exciting for me,»
Andrew Peeke seems eager for a fresh start.
The 6'3 defenseman admitted it was not always easy to keep a positive mindset during this season when you are losing the majority of your games but now looking back on it, he thinks it was all worth it.
«There were some tough days. A lot of adversity. Being where I am now you can only look back at it and make a positive out of it, helping you grow as a person and a hockey player,»
Peeke currently has 8 points in 23 games this season with a -2 +/- rating this season.
