It appeared after the impressive win against the Maple Leafs that the Bruins can have a chance to build off of that win and get back on track after having a tough few weeks since the All Star weekend. Having dominated the Leafs at times and showed control at key times it looked promising.

Tonight, the Bruins were at home to play the Edmonton Oilers and yet again their third period mistakes cost the team as the Bruins lost 2-1 in overtime.

Head coach Jim Montgomery chimed in about the way the team handled the late goal and overtime and it's safe to say he wasn't pleased.

The team will need to get its act together as the stretch run of the season is here. The trade deadline is just a distraction and should not be an issue for a team that has been at the top of their division for most of the year.

Perhaps players are gripping their sticks a little harder these days in wondering if they will be a Bruin after March 8th but it's important that the winning habits return so the team can prepare for round one.
