According to reports, there are 4 teams that should be targeting JVR, and at the top of that list are the Avalanche.
The team only has $2millikm dollars in available cap space, and by offering him a PTO and performs well, he would be signed for league minimum.
This is not the first report that is indicating the Avalanche should make this move. Reporter Rawal of Colorado Hockey Now has even proposed the same idea PTO for former Bruins forward, James Van Riemsdyk.
Although JVR is 35 years old and past his prime, he could prove to be a useful depth signing. As a member of the Boston Bruins, he scored 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points in 71 games.
Would this be a good move for the Colorado Avalanche?
