With his team struggling since the All-Star break and looking for consistency as they finish off their season heading into the playoffs, it's possible players on the roster may be moved including Bruins forward Jake Debrusk.
One possible destination that has been linked to his name was by Jimmy Murphy of Boston hockey now stating that the Edmonton Oilers would be a likely spot for Debrusk to be traded to.
Having grown up in Edmonton and his father being a commentator and former player with the Oilers certainly would help manufacture a deal. Debrusk would also be a player who could give the Oilers what they need as he would like to find a rebound in his season.
The 27-year-old has had a decline in his production as he has played 62 games, scored 14 goals with 15 assists and 29 points and is a + 10. Putting him with Leon Draisaitl could certainly bolster his numbers.
Being an unrestricted free agent certainly would blunt the cost that the Oilers would need to pay in order to acquire him as they could offer a unrestricted free agent themselves.
It remains to be seen on whether Debrusk will remain with the Bruins or be moved by Friday. It is expected however that Sweeney will be active as he tries to make another run for a cup.
