At the end of last season, the Bruins made it clear that Jeremy Swayman would be their number one goaltender moving forward and that they would try to move Ullmark in the off-season.
Many teams called regarding Ullmark but finally a deal was agreed upon with the Senators sending Ullmark to Ottawa in exchange for a couple players including goaltender Joonas Korpisalo.
During today's press conference, general manager Don Sweeney was asked about the Ullmark trade and if he regrets doing it so early when a deal is still not done with Swayman as the season approaches. Sweeney stated that Ullmark was great for the Bruins during his time in Boston but that he does not regret making the trade on bit.
Fans were quick to reply on social media and point out that the team they wishes the team would just admit that they traded Ullmark too soon since they should have waited until a deal was done with Swayman before doing so.
