Draisaitl fate with the Bruins has officially been confirmed

Leon Draisaitl is headed for free agency after the 2024-25 season as it is the last year of his current contract.

Draisaitl will likely end up being the highest paid player in the league with his new contract. According to new GM Stan Bowman, there has been no update on extension negotiations but he seems confident a deal will get done.

While there is still a bit of hope for Bruins fans, the chances that Draisaitl come to Boston are very slim for the time being as the Oilers will likely do everything in their power to keep him.
