Forbort Reveals the Real Reason why he got Scratched

Defenseman Derek Forbort missed an important recent team meeting, and was benched for his lack of dedication. Forbort has now come forth to let everyone know that his reason for not being there was because he slept in. For such an unprofessional reason, it seems as though he'll be benched in the upcoming game as well.
Jake DeBrusk knows the feeling of this all to well, as he did the same thing as Forbort earlier this season. Teammate to Teammate, Debrusk is seen consoling Forbort, letting him know "You'll get through this".
Defensman Derek Forbort overslept in Seattle. "It's on me," he said. His first call was from Jake DeBrusk (who missed a meeting earlier this season in LA) with the message "you'll get through this," Forbort said with a smile following Thursday's morning skate.
