Writing these things for your dog is brutal so I figured I'd come on here and try make all of you sad too «Don't worry about the book. It isn't mine, but I glanced at it»
Darla had been battling cancer and combined with a recent flare up in her pancreatitis it just became too much for her she went peacefully on a rainy Sunday morning, cuddled up in a warm blanket, lounging on her favorite tempur-pedic dog bed. (She had a bad back)
I'd like to give a special shout-out to Darla's sitters.. Emily, Allie and Nicole. I liked to think of Darla as a community project but without these three it wouldn't have been possible. She was as much theirs as mine.
Some of Darla's favorite things were waking me up for breakfast, searching the North End for leftover pizza and chasing chipmunks at the cabin. My favorite thing about her was how happy she made people as they saw her bouncin down the sidewalk.
I'm so grateful someone decided to give you up. I think I needed you more than you needed me. Bye, Darla
