Colby Cave's wife drops shocking detail regarding his passing

Former Bruins player Colby Cave tragically passed away five years ago and his wife in a recent interview final explained the cause behind his death.
According to Emily, Cave was born with a tumour that had shifted which caused his brain to bleed. Emily added that the tumour was never detected but that the doctors told her that even if they had known and operated on him, he wouldn't have lived much longer since the tumour was so big.
"Colby had been born with a rare tumor that was never detected," Emily said. "Unfortunately, that day the tumour shifted. The neurosurgeon told me that with how big it was, he wouldn't have lived long with it. Even if they operated, he said it probably wouldn't have done anything."
"I was also frantic," Emily added. "I went through every little detail thinking, 'What did I miss?' It was the first thing I said when people called. I would say to Colby's teammates, 'Was he OK with you guys? What did I miss?' It was torture and I went through that for so long."

Emily recently took to social media to post a happy 5th wedding anniversary to her and Colby as fans filled the comments with love.
