It was announced today that former Former Boston Bruins goalie Keith Kinkaid is doing everything he can to stay in the NHL as he signs a PTO professional tryout with the New York Islanders.

Now at 35-years-old, Kinkaid spent the whole last season playing for the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 24 appearances in the minors. he posted an 8-14-2 win/loss record, a less than stellar .880 save %, and a 3.54 goals-against average (GAA)...

With Kinkaid being on the back end of his career, he states that he still has "a lot left in the tank" and thinks the best place for him is with the Islanders as he grew up a Isles fan.

With his time in the Bruins organization Kinkaid spent the majority of the time in Providence of the AHL as he only appeared in 1 game for the Bruins during that 2022-23 season. In his 1 start, he saved 30 out of 31 shots. With the Providence Bruins, he achieved an 8-7-4 record and a .909 SV% in 20 games. He time with the B's was short lived as he was eventually traded to the avalanche.
