Former Bruins star could be headed to Utah

James Van Riemsdyk celebrated his 1000th NHL Game about four months ago while with the Boston Bruins.
Now, he is a free agent who doesn't have many prospects. However, there are a few teams out there who could use some depth and a veteran presence in the locker room. One of those teams is Utah HC. Michael Derosa of The Hockey News made the case for why this move would make sense.
"If van Riemsdyk signed a deal with Utah HC, he would provide them with more secondary offensive production in their bottom six," Derosa said. "In addition, given his solid net-front presence ability, he would be a clear option for their power play. Furthermore, with Utah HC being a young team looking to get into the playoffs, adding an experienced winger like JVR could make sense for them at the right price."
