Former OHL player and family are victims of atrocious crime

Former OHL player Pat Montgomery and his wife were the victims of a a homicide Saturday in Durham, Ontario.

Police have announced that they have the suspect, 30 year old Mark Gordon in custody and have charged him with two counts of first degree murder. Gordon knew both Pat and his wife Andreana but the police have yet to figure out the motive.

"42-year-old Patrick Montgomery and 42-year-old Andrieana Montgomery have been identified as the victims in yesterday's homicide.

The accused has been identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon.

Mark Gordon, age 30 of Oshawa has been charged with First Degree Murder x2.

He has been held for a Bail Hearing.

The accused is known to both victims however the motive behind the murders is still under investigation. This is not a domestic-related incident." Durham Regional Police said in a statement.


Montgomery spent 3 years in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals, putting up 38 points in 175 games before continuing his career at Brock University which he followed by playing Semi-pro in Ontario.
