Last night in a game in the QMJHL between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles things took a turn for the worst when one of the Sea Dogs coaches collapsed behind the bench. The game was stopped immediately and medical personnel rushed onto the scene.
This is what we know.
At 19:06 of the third period, something happened behind the Saint John Sea Dogs bench. We don't know what happened or who it is.
The person has been taken off the bench on a stretcher.
The game has been called off with Cape Breton leading 6-0.
There has been no additional information regarding the incident yet but our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the situation.
