NHL's Commissioner, Gary Bettman, has made a major and historic announcement directly concerning this years Stanley Cup Finals.

It is no surprise that this seasons Stanley Cup Finals between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers are one for the history books as Edmonton its trying to complete the reverse sweep on Monday (June 24th) from being down 3-0.

Comeback's stories like this are great for growing the game of hockey, as it bring a lot more spectators and attention to the game. This has been further solidified as Games #5 and #6 were some of the most viewed games in the history of the NHL!

The 5th duel was notably watched by 8.5 million viewers across North America, an increase of 61% compared to the same match in last year's final series. - NHL.com

Compared to last year years matchup with the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers there has been a significant increase in viewership.

Gary Bettman needs to realize that hockey in Canada is a positive thing and brings a lot more attention that he thinks. Maybe another team in Canada is on order for the NHL!?
