In 33 games with the Bruins in 2023-2024, Poitras was around a 0.5 point per game player, scoring 15 points with 5 goals and 10 assists. Coach Jim Montgomery commented on what he saw out of the youngster and he isn't totally convinced yet that he has the offensive abilities right now.
With the addition of Elias Lindholm, Poitras could be seeing his spot being taken away and will have to prove himself in camp to showcase to Montgomery and management that he can be slotted in the top-6 right away this season.
Per Daily Faceoff, they have him slotted on the 3rd line where he centers Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau, but this can change quickly. Bruins captain, Brad Marchand had some high touted comments for the 20-year-old after he went down with a shoulder injury.
Do you think Poitras will make the team out of camp this year?\
