Many teams are in search of a goalie at the deadline such as the Devils, who have been struggling with goaltending all season. After last year, it was believed that they found their starting goaler in Vanecek but the Czech goalie has had a tough season.

Insiders believed the Devils were most likely going to come to an agreement with the Flames to trade for Jacob Markstrom but it was announced today that the Flames will be holding onto Markstrom until the end of the season.

Further to this, the Devils tried to circle back but the #Flames are telling people they now plan on keeping Markstrom for the rest of this season.

On top of Markstrom no longer being available, insider Elliotte Friedman also announced that the Wild will be holding onto Marc-André Fleury until the end of the season.

One important development as we head towards the trade deadline: Minnesota has indicated it will not move Marc-André Fleury. They are happy to keep him.

Since Markstrom and Fleury are no longer on the table, teams are surely to start calling Bruins GM Don Sweeney as Ullmark is now the number one available goaltender on the market.

I'd imagine this would raise Ullmark's value

The Devils have a lot of young talented players that the Bruins would be able to get in a trade involving Ullmark. Now the fans will have to wait and see what Sweeney does.
