Marchand's future contract revealed

Bruins captain Brad Marchand's contract will be expiring at the end of the 2024-25 season and since the Bruins have a ton of cap space right now they might close the extension sooner than later.

GM Don Sweeney has mentioned that they will re-sign Marchand as they want him to retire a Bruin.

According to insider Fluto Shinzawa, the Bruins should sign Marchand for 2 year at $5 million per year.

While $5 million per year for a 36 year old Marchand seems like a lot, he has yet to have less than 50 points in a season since 2014-15 and had 67 points in 82 games this season.
