The Bruins blew a 2-0 lead on Saturday night, going into overtime Jake DeBrusk took a bad too many men penalty, getting on the ice and into the play before Brad Marchand could get off causing the penalty.
Boeser took advantage of the power-play and scored within 25 seconds of DeBrusk entering the box.
Montgomery told reporters that it was an unfortunate play and that DeBrusk had the right intentions but he can't be taking bad penalties like that in overtime.
The Bruins will take on the Seattle Kraken on Monday night in hopes of turning recent struggles around.
