A new report indicated that that the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman are not on the same page and are still far apart on the terms of the contract.
All week long there has been good news surrounding Swayman and the Bruins, a bunch of quotes from swayman himself and president Cam Neely have indicated that there is no reason to worry and that there is "no question" a deal will get done, but this report says something different.
Bruins camp is less than a month away and both sides are far apart on mainly the term length of the contract.
It is still mind boggling that a deal has not been done, the panic button has not been pressed yet but that fact that Swayman holds all the leverage after the Bruins traded
Ullmark away. Swayman is a top 5 goalie in the league and deserves the compensation he is asking and that fact that Sweeney will not budge on his number indicates a lot about the way he runs the team.
