Pre season preview of Bruins vs Kings

The Boston Bruins continue their pre season tonight as they take on the Los Angeles Kings at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City.

This is not a usual matchup for the Bruins as they do not often see the Kings in the pre season but the city of Quebec put in a bid to bring in both teams for a game in Quebec to give fans a taste of the NHL once again.

The Bruins and Kings generally don't see each other in preseason, but the NHL has decided to grace French Canada's government capital with an East vs. West match up that sees two teams who would definitely appreciate the road trip right about now to get away from the constant handwringing about their roster going on at home.

The Bruins will have a tough matchup tonight as the Kings have been playing very well so far in the pre season with only a loss to the Utah Hockey Club as their top players seem to be playing very well together.

Even if it's a preseason game, the B's need to be ready; the Kings have actually had a pretty strong run so far, with young talent like Quentin Byfield, Alex Laferriere, and Alex Turcotte already meshing well with the Kings' older talent like Anze Kopitar, Adrian Kempe, and Trevor Lewis. Warren Foegele has also acquitted himself perfectly well to the roster, which is good; they're gonna need him to help keep their depth honest.

The Bruins have already made a ton of cuts but are still looking for a second line winger as Morgan Geekie has been looking solid playing with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle but has not locked in the job just yet.

The Bruins also announced this afternoon that they have recalled prospect Fabian Lysell from Providence as he will be back in training camp with the Bruins fighting for a roster spot.
