Ever since the Boston Bruins lost Jake DeBrusk to free agency, the B's have been looking for a suitable replacement, and they might have just found one for cheap.

Oliver Wahlstrom, at just 24-years-old, signed a 1-year deal worth $1 Million, but it seems that he will be placed on waivers.

If this is the case, he would be a great pick up to bolster the Bruins forward group and it would not put a major dent in the cap.

He needs to get off the Island, but trade interest isn't there

If Wahlstrom makes it to camp he's got an uphill climb. Wahlstrom would need to have an incredible camp to secure a bottom-six spot. And if he's the 13th forward, he doesn't have a chance to show he belongs in the league, even on another team.

Waivers are probably his best chance to move on now.

New Head Coach Patrick Roy doesn't feel confident that Wahlstrom can make a significant impact in the bottom 6, he needs opportunities on top lines but there are not slots for him to fill on the Islanders.

"a reliable bottom-six forward on a team with more than a few bottom-six candidates".

With quite a few healthy scratches to his name through out the season, Wahlstrom scored 2 goals and 4 assists in 32 games.

Do you think in a different setting and role he could make a bigger impact?
