Surprising Trade Partner Emerges for the Bruins
The Bruins are a top team in the NHL, because of that they will be buyers at the deadline. Two major trades have already gone down with contenders adding to their teams already loaded with talent. The Bruins do not want to fall behind their contenders in what has been a somewhat surprising season for Boston.
The Seattle Kraken are not in a guaranteed playoff position and have had a very up and down season. At some point they will need to decide whether to be buyers or sellers themselves. Things seem to be leaning towards them sellers and they have just what the Bruins could be asking for in forward Jordan Eberle.
Eberle is on an expiring contract and has not had many extensions talks with Seattle signifying they will be moving on from the forward in Seattle. Seattle could also eat half his remaining salary which would be a huge piece for the cap strapped Bruins. Eberle would be a nice middle six forward position and would even get powerplay time. Eberle this year has nine goals and 19 points and has a +2 on ice rating. He a consists 19-2 goal scorer throughout his career and would bring great secondary scoring to the Bruins.
