Swayman finally speaks out and provides important update on his future

The Boston Bruins have had a very busy offseason signing big names like Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov, but fans are still left scratching their heads on why Don Sweeney and the B;s have yet to get a deal done with star goalie, Jeremy Swayman.

There have been a lot of sighting of Swayman that gave fans a lot of confidence that he has no intention to leave. He was seen at the rookie development camp offering advice to the youngsters and joining Bruins media at NESN to support an important charity, the Jimmy Fund at Fenway park.

Nut recent reports by NHL Insiders such as Elliote Friedman have made fans go into panic mode, as he stated that the two parties were not close to a deal. With that being said, a lot of that panic was put to rest today.

"The last I heard, they weren't close. I think this has been a bit of a challenging negotiation, but they've still got time.» But Friedman also acknowledged that he hasn't been «bugging people» about Swayman too much recently."

Swayman joined the Jimmy Fund Telethon run by WEEI/NESN and assured fans fans that he is very confident that a deal will be done soon!

"There's a lot of confidence,» Swayman said. «And I say that because I've treated it like business as usual this year. I've been at Warrior, I've been working out with our guys, our staff, our players. And I know that there's something special building in this locker room this year, and I can't be more excited about that.

«I know that it will take care of itself with time, and all I can do is control how I'm going to be a better goalie for the Boston Bruins this year. So, that's all I'm focused on. And I know, again, it will work out, and I couldn't be happier to be a Bruin." - Swayman
