It seems like the Bruins will be moving on from a few players this off-season, the first being Linus Ullmark. The former Vezina winner saw his role diminish in the playoffs as he only played 1 out of 13 games for the Bruins. This means they will likely move him which would free up $5 million in cap space for next season.
The next player is Kevin Shattenkirk who had a solid small role for the Bruins this year but at 35 years old, it is unlikely he get re-signed.
Finally, forward Pat Maroon who was acquired at the deadline and was a crucial part of the lineup in the playoffs is also approaching the end of his career and might not be worth the money.
It will be interesting to see how Sweeney goes about things this off-season.
