Will Don Sweeney keep his job after this potential free agency transaction

The Boston Bruins general manager is no stranger when it comes to controversy and the Bruins fanbase are not afraid to tell him how they feel.

It is not too much of a stretch to suspect that if this transaction goes through, Don Sweeney will have to start looking for a new job.

Leafslatest on X or formerly known as twitter revealed that the Toronto Maple Leafs have mutual interest with Boston Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk ahead of the July 1st free agency.

There is already social media outcry about this potential free agency blunder. Fans do not want to see a repeat of last year when Don Sweeney let Tyler Bertuzzi walk.

After acquiring Bertuzzi last year he quickly became a Bruin that fans loved. Many thought he was there too stay. However, considering the Bruins cap situation he ended up signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

If DeBrusk walks, there is a good chance that fans will be calling for Don Sweeney to be fired.
