It is no secret that Patrik Laine has been open about his mental health struggles, even spending time in the NHL, NHLPA's players assistance program, but now he is giving back in a big way.
Patrik Laine and his Fiancé have announced on social media that they are creating a Major mental health initiative to help pro athletes and who are struggling and going through the same issues he went through.
There is a going stigma in the world about Mental Health issues, but it is even more apparent in Pro Sports where athletes are afraid to reach out and seek the necessary help.
The fund has already seen massive donations and contributions to help grow the conversation to reduce the stigma, mental health matters and pro athletes need the support just like anyone else.
