Even though the Edmonton Oilers lost the Stanley Cup to the Florida Anther last night, Connor McDavid was still awarded this years Conn Smythe Trophy as the Playoff's MVP.

CONNOR MCDAVID IS YOUR CONN SMYTHE WINNER

It did not come to shock that McDavid won the Conn Smythe as he put up historic numbers in the Playoffs as he scored 8 Goals and 34 Assists for 42 Points in 23 games played.
When the NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman came out to award the Oilers Captain with the MVP trophy, McDavid was no where to be found. He decided to stay in the locker room with his team which is completely understandable, he doesn't want to be out there after losing the most important game of his life.
"McDavid does not come out to accept the Conn Smythe Trophy.

It goes back into the Zamboni tunnel to a chorus of «Bobby!» Chants."

Now that the 2023-24 NHL season has concluded, the action wont stop there. Tomorrow, the 2024 Hall of Fame class will be announced and on June 28th-29th, have the NHL Entry Draft, followed by free agency on July 1st.
