Auston Matthews in Discomfort After Taking a Skate Down Low

Initially, Matthews sustained an injury on Thursday in Florida when Carter Verhaeghe's attempted dump in struck him in the sensitive area, to put it mildly.

Tonight, with the Maple Leafs in Raleigh to face the Hurricanes, Matthews received a direct hit to the groin from Jesper Fast's skate during a faceoff.

Matthews instantly fell to the ice and remained there briefly, but he did stay in the game.
