Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin seeking help after disastrous injury
After serious health concerns about Vancouver Canucks star goalie Thatcher Demko is still up in the air, general manager Patrik Allvin is forced to seek help elsewhere to find a suitable replacement.
NHL training camp is set to begin in about a month from now and there are still major injury concerns surrounding Thatcher Demko and if he will be ready when the season commences. Demko suffered a 2 separate knee injuries late in the year last season and also went down in the playoffs, and there has been no detailed update if he will be ready for camp and that he is fully recovered.
He added, "So, what I am hearing on Demko is that he's progressing, but no timetable as to when he's going to be 100 percent healthy."
Due to the major uncertainty, Allvin is forced to look for options in net until Demko is back.
Some rumors have started to swirl that they may go after Boston Bruins RFA goalie, Jeremy Swayman, but in our opinion they do not have the cap space or draft picks to even qualify for this to be true.
