BREAKING: Kuznetsov Officially on The Move

Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was cleared on Saturday by the NHL assistance program. The 31 year-old was expected to rejoin the team but later that day was placed on waivers which came as a big surprise to most fans.

Kuznetsov has officially cleared waivers today and will be joining the Hershey Bears in the AHL as a loan.

It will be interesting to see if the Russian forward decides to report to Hershey but due to his one-way contract, he will still be making his regular salary of 7.5 million per year.

Kuznetsov had 17 points in 43 games this season before taking a leave from the team to enter the NHL assistance program.
