Last week, the NHL community was shaken by a major revelation when several current and former NHL players had to turn themselves in to police in Ontario. Now, there's a new twist in the story. Rick Westhead reports that four players, among them Flyers standout Carter Hart, are facing charges connected to an incident from the 2018 Team Canada investigation.

Four NHLers Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube & Cal Foote have been directed to surrender to London police to be charged with sexual assault in connection with an alleged incident that occurred during a 2018 Hockey Canada event.

The four players, including Flyers goaltender Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube, and Cal Foote, have been instructed to surrender to the Ontario police as the investigation progresses to its next phase.

While the accusations remain unproven, the Ontario Police are scheduled to hold a press conference on Feb. 5 to provide updates to the media and public on the continuing investigation.

As the investigation moves forward, the attorneys representing all four players have chosen not to issue any statements or engage with the media.
