Can Patrick Roy make a big return to the NHL? All the rumors were pointing toward Ottawa, but the vote of confidence was still leaning toward DJ Smith.
Well, believe it or not, Smith has just been fired, and Jacques Martin is stepping in as an interim replacement.
Will Patrick Roy be the coach announced at the start of the next campaign? Jacques Martin is a seasoned veteran, but I would be surprised if the organization brings in a dinosaur to coach young players in the long run.
We still don't know what the future holds for Roy, but one thing is certain: he now has his best chance to return to the NHL, which could happen this summer.
