A Former NHLer and Pittsburgh Penguin has tragically passed away at the age of 66

The entire hockey community is mourning the loss of former NHLer and Pittsburgh Penguin, Mike Meeker who passed away today at the age of 66.

Per the NHL Alumni page on X (formally Twitter), Mike Meeker life was cut short at the age of 66. He was drafted 25th overall by the penguins in the 1978 NHL Amateur Entry Draft, he would go on to only play 4 games with the team.

He would spend most of his career playing in different leagues around North America, such as the NCAA, OHL, AHL.

Everyone here at Bruins latest would like to send our deepest condolences to the entire Meeker family during this difficult time.
